About Dr. DeYarman

For more than twenty Five years, Dr. DeYarman has studied and developed new techniques and products for hair restoration, evolving into a premier hair transplant surgeon and specialist in hair restoration. He has had the opportunity to watch the development of his patients and to perfect technologies such as: the Follicular Hair Transplant Method (the utilization of the microscope in hair transplant surgery),the Minoxidil® Enhancement System, and a patented DeYarman Applicator for topical treatment. Dr. DeYarman has also written and lectured extensively on the topic of hair loss.

Dr. DeYarman graduated from Northeast Missouri State with a Bachelor of Science degree in 1969. In 1973, Dr. DeYarman graduated from Kirksville College of Osteopathic Medicine. Immediately following graduation, he completed his rotating internship in general practice at Doctors Hospital in Tucker, Georgia.

Dr. DeYarman began a general practice in 1974 in San Diego, California where he was primarily dealing with internal medicine, surgery, pediatrics, obstetrics, psychiatry and dermatology. During this time, Dr. DeYarman became interested in hair restoration. In 1978, Dr. DeYarman did a preceptorship with Dr. C.P. Chambers of Tampa, Florida in the art of hair transplantation.

With extensive studies in the area of hair restoration, Dr. DeYarman incorporates an artistic approach to hair transplants, giving patients a natural-looking hairline, which has heralded him a leader in his field. Dr. DeYarman began doing Follicular Unit Hair Transplantation exclusively in 1998. This technique involves the use of stereoscopic microscope dissection. The follicular unit is created and transplanted into puncture sites for a natural growth pattern. This technique creates the most natural-looking hair transplantation.

Dr. DeYarman is licensed to practice medicine in the following states:

California, Hawaii, Nevada, Utah, Tennessee, and Florida. He is currently a member of the National A.O.A., State Association, and local society, a member of the American Society of Hair Restoration Surgery, a member of the International Society of Hair Restoration Surgery, a member of the American Academy of Cosmetic Surgery and a past board member of the California State Association (O.P.S.C.)
